How To Setting Up Custom Domain in Blogger Blog using GoDaddy.com Step by Step

Step by Step guide to setting up custom domain in blogger blog.

Setting Up Custom Domain to blogger
 
A custom domain is highly recommended for a blog because of a blog with custom domain name like xyz.com is more easy to remember then xyz.blogspot.com, so people always prefer to read blogs with xyz.com and it also helps to improve your blog SERP's on search engine as well. In this tutorial, we are going to describe step by step guide to adding a custom domain to a blog or setting up a custom domain to a blog.

Here i am going to telling you that how to setting up a godaddy hosted custom domain in blogger blog. It is very easy to setting up by following some given steps.

Step1: Login to your blogger account => Dashboard => go to Settings => Basic.


Click on Blogger Settings and go to Basic

Step2: Click on Setup 3rd party URL for your blog and type your custom domain name.

Step3: Now click on View setting instructions, then a new page will open now select your domain owner.


Click on View Setting Instructions 
Step4: Now click on the top level domain from bottom of the same page.

Click on top-level domain
 After clicking on the On Top-level domain then you will see the some IP's of google.

Copy Google IP's to your notepad Now click on Save button.

Click on Save button

Now it will not save successfully and give an error like this.

Now note down the www and one other CNAME filed to anywhere in notepad and also save the IP's too.

Step5: Now login with your godaddy account, => select your domain which you want to add with blogger as a custom domain and click on Launch button.
Now you will see the panel like this.


Open Godaddy CPanel for Setting Google IP's



Now click on the DNS ZONE FILE tab and click on Use Classic DNS Manager.


Click on Use Classic DNS Manager
 Step6: Now change in CNAME filed like this.


Adding CNAME records to godaddy

Click on Quick Add and add the CNAME which you have got in step 4, remember that the www filed already exist in your CNAME with default value delete the existing www field.

Step7: Now change the Host IP which you have got in step 3 you can try any of the IP out of the four you got, i recommend to use first one.


Adding Google IP to @ field inside the Host

Delete existing @ record and create your own with Google IP.

Step8: Final Step:- Now go to the blogger and try to save your custom domain now it will not give any error and will save successfully which means your custom domain has been settled up successfully.
